Players please plan to be at the Prudential Center no later than 5:30pm. Park in the Lincoln Mercury VIP Garage located on Lafayette St. There will be a $4.00 per car parking fee. Let the attendant know you're there for the Jr B Rockets game.

Selects visit with Merrimack (Hockey East NCAA D-I) and UMASS-Boston (ECAC East NCAA D-III) head coaches; hear message of opportunity and consistency

Selects players spent Friday afternoon touring the academic and athletic facilities at Merrimack College. They did the same Saturday at UMASS-Boston. Two different programs, two different levels, one message.
Both coaches spoke repeatedly about the importance of making the most of opportunities, attention to detail, passion and focus in your approach towards the game. "You don't get many opportunities in this game", UMASS coach Pete Belisle said, "you had better make the most of them". Merrimack coach Mark Dennehy talked at length about attention to detail and how difficult it is mentally to prepare to compete and succeed at the Hockey East level night in and night out.
It was a pair of visits the coaching staff trusts will hit home with Selects players who struggled this weekend in the areas of focus, execution and mental preparation. Coaches continue to stress raising the level of accountability for a group that at 18-3-2 now finds itself in 3rd place (loss column) in the Western Conference.
Tri State comes home this weekend to face the Buffalo Stars (6-6-2-0) before heading to Rochester for a weekend tilt with Maksymum (15-4-0).
'93 Empire Forward Thomas Forgione Commits to UVM for 2011

Green Mountain Glades forward Thomas Forgione has announced he'll be joining the Catamounts program for the fall of 2011. Tom had 3 goals and 7 points in 12 games last season for Green Mountains Empire team.

Empire League Alum Show Strong in NHL Draft

Guelph Storm (OHL) Goaltender Tommy McCollum (Amherst, NY '89) 30th overall, headlined a trio of Empire League Alum drafted in this weekends 2008 NHL Entry Draft in Ottawa, ON. McCollum was the first player selected by the defending Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings.

Selects F Lester Brown �91 signs 4yr deal with the Gatineau Olympiques QMJHL

Tri State forward Lester Brown �91 will be headed off to camp with the Presidents Cup Champion, Gatineau Olympiques in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this summer.
